Quinte First Credit Union believes in the success of our community. Our staff, board and members all live and work in the Quinte area and we are proud to be the only truly local Credit Union in the Quinte region. As such, we are proud to support local events, projects and programs that contribute to the success and well-being of our community.

In 2016, Quinte First gave over $68,376 in donations and sponsorships and contributed over 2000 volunteer hours to the community.

We support:

• Charitable and community fundraising events
• Community celebrations and festivals
• Arts, culture, and sports teams
• Conferences, forums and learning events

We are always looking for sponsorship opportunities that allows us not only to provide funding but sponsorship through volunteerism as well.

Quinte First Credit Union works closely with local community organizations like The Quinte West Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Sunrise of Quinte and the Rotarians to support local events and initiatives. We are dedicated to supporting valuable local organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Gleaners Food Bank, and Food for Learning.
 
Quinte First values our relationship with local businesses and entrepreneurs, and are supporters of organizations like Trenval and the Small Business Centre. Quinte First is also committed to creating community partnerships with local schools; we offer financial literacy programs available for the primary, secondary and post-secondary levels. Quinte First is also proud to offer support and funding for experiential learning opportunities like our Student Run Co-op Initiative.

Quinte First Credit Union has adopted a donations policy that ensures fair and impartial distribution of support to community groups in need of financial support. Each year, our Quinte First Board of Directors reserves funds for community involvement. The amount is based on a percentage of Quinte First’s after tax profit from the previous year.

As a co-operative credit union, Quinte First upholds a commitment to transparency and member involvement. We welcome input, suggestions and inquiries from our members in regards to the community events and organizations that we support.
